Ganish is the most seasoned town of the Hunza Valley and its a treat to watch.
Ganish is the most established town in the heart of Hunza, Six kilometers (4 miles) past Aliabad, the KKH makes a clearing S-curve down past Ganish town to the extension over the Hunza River. Ganesh, on ripe even or more the stream, is monitored by an old watchtower and fortress. The old ached for mosque is additionally worth a visit. In the pool before the tower all the neighborhood kids figure out how to swim. ( this used to be in past )Until this century young men needed to swim over the Hunza River to demonstrate that they could escape or ambush over the stream when vital. Until the British came in 1891, the men of Hunza used to keep a sword, firearm, shield and a roll of bread (which was supplanted at regular intervals) close to their entryways; when the drums thump the alert from Altit stronghold, proclaiming the methodology of pillagers, each one man might get these things and run for the fortress. (Apparently his family went too.)like Gilgit Hunza was a vital organizing post on the Silk Route and was intensely gone for many years by merchants retreating and hence between China, India and the west over the Kilik, Mintaka, Parpik and Khunjerab passes. The most persuading evidence of this lies in the engravings on the Ganesh rock, a kind of Silk Route visitor book.
